It has been a number of years since I thought of it. When I spoke to Danny O'Hehir, a good friend of mine, I found myself curious as to what the status of the project was. I looked on the
Dragonmount website but saw no mention of it. I ended up going to the
Wayback Machine on the
Internet Archive to get the status. Alas, it appears that it is currently dead (on hold indefinitely). I was rather looking forward to it.
Argonaut Entertainment has this to say about it:
Dragonmount: The Movie (On Hold)
A 3D animated short movie about the last moments of Lews Therin Telamon's life. Hailed by the entire world as "The Dragon", Lews Therin was a leader and general for the forces of Light. But at the very end, the price for his victory was too high. This movie recounts the moments in which he is shown what he has done, and the terrible course of action he decides upon. In the end, his greatest triumph became his greatest defeat.
Based on the prologue to The Eye of the World by Robert Jordan. This movie is being produced with the author's consent and cooperation.
This movie is currently on-hold. We just did not have the experience and resources to do this movie at the level that it deserved to be done. We would like to return to the movie some day, and when we do it will have been worth the wait.
